موضوع القصة تدور قصة الحطاب الصادق حول رجل فقير يكسب رزقه من قطع الأشجار. في يوم من الأيام، وبينما كان يعمل بالقرب من وادٍ عميق، سقطت فأسه في مياه الوادي. شعر الحطاب بالحزن والندم لأنه فقد أداة عمله الوحيدة. وفجأة ظهرت سمكة عملاقة من مياه الوادي وسألته عن مشكلته. الحطاب، ببساطته وصدقه، أخبر السمكة بما حدث. عندها بدأت السمكة بإحضار فؤوس مختلفة للحطاب لتستعيد له ما فقد، فواجه الحطاب اختبارًا أخلاقيًا. هذه القصص للأطفال تعلّمنا أهمية الصدق والنزاهة، وأن الأمانة هي أفضل طريق للحصول على المكافآت الحقيقية. من خلال هذه القصة الشيقة، يتعلم الأطفال أن الأمانة تكون دائماً مصدر الخير، بينما يؤدي الكذب إلى الخسارة، حتى وإن بدا الطريق السهل مغرياً. ##
